Towards a modernization of Motion-Design, VFX and Post-Production tools : the case study of Autograph
Despite major advances in image processing and the rise of powerful render engines, there is still a real gap between the world of 3D and modern compositing pipelines and 2D tools. This separation requires the use of many different tools, which often communicate poorly with each other, slowing down exchanges and reducing productivity. With Autograph, Left Angle offers to combine these two aspects in a single software, handling 3D data through the USD standard and offering an advanced rendering and compositing system, all in one place.
During this conference, François Grassard from Left Angle will present "Autograph", its brand new hybrid 2D/3D creation and compositing software. It integrates a complete 2D pipeline but also a 3D environment and render engine, based on the USD format for interchanges with DCC. Fast and programmable, it combines the advantages of layer-based compositing and nodal systems. Its hybrid approach solves many technical problems and increases productivity whether for the film or series industry . Autograph is the perfect tool for Motion-Designers, VFX Artists and mass production of personalized videos, especially for social networks.
